Diverse, Understandable and Accredited Curriculum
The National Attorneys Cybersecurity Association, Inc. (“NACABAR.ORG”) develops continuing education courses for attorneys, judicial officers, court personnel, law firms, court-adjacent agencies, professional associations, and cybersecurity practitioners. NACABAR translates emerging cyber-threat patterns into practical verification, preservation, mitigation, containment, and incident-response practices for the legal profession and judicial ecosystem.
NACABAR also engages with cybersecurity investigators, technical specialists, associates of the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative ecosystem, and other expert groups to exchange information concerning evolving threats to attorneys, courts, professional institutions, and trusted legal communications. This work includes examining the professional-health, operational, reputational, and human consequences of sustained cyberattacks; identifying emerging risks involving court portals, e-service systems, professional directories, identity credentials, and legal communications; and promoting practical out-of-band verification and resilience measures.
In addition, NACABAR monitors and analyzes developing court rules, state bar requirements, cybersecurity standards, professional-responsibility guidance, and regulatory trends that affect lawyers, judicial officers, law firms, and court-adjacent organizations. Its courses and publications are designed to help legal professionals understand how new rules and technical developments may affect professional competence, client protection, communications integrity, evidence preservation, and continuity of access to courts.

Cyber-Attacks Targeting Legal Professionals: Overview of Cyber-Threats and Early Detection Practices
Course Overview
This intermediate technology course examines how cyberattacks can affect attorneys, judicial officers, court personnel, law firms, court-adjacent agencies, professional associations, and the broader legal-services ecosystem.
The course focuses on practical early detection, verification, evidence preservation, communications integrity, incident escalation, and continuity of operations. Participants will examine risks involving court portals, e-service notices, professional credentials, email-routing systems, DNS and domain control, restricted-access platforms, service lists, filing receipts, and other high-trust digital workflows.
The program is designed to help participants recognize warning signs, preserve suspicious communications and records, verify critical information through alternate channels, and respond before a digital trust failure develops into a professional, operational, or client-protection crisis.
